Kahului Florist is Maui’s longest-running flower shop, based in Kahului and founded in 1963. For a lot of Kahului Florist’s customers, the flowers are going to Maui, but the person ordering them is somewhere else entirely.

That’s a big responsibility for a flower shop that has been part of Maui life for more than six decades. Kahului Florist is the island’s longest-running flower shop. Today the team designs arrangements for birthdays, weddings, sympathy and corporate events, working with Hawaii-grown blooms like protea, orchids and anthurium from local growers, along with flowers they grow themselves.

The team running the shop today brings its own story to that history. Their floral studio has created wedding and event designs since 2020, and when the chance came to take over Kahului Florist, they took it. Their goal, in their own words, is "to honor the history of Kahului Florist while building an inspired and vibrant future." 

Their deliveries cover the whole island, from Kahului and Wailuku to Kihei, Lahaina, Kula and Paia. They also ship to the US mainland and send orders to Lanai by ferry.

At Kahului Florist, deliveries have always been in local hands. They're managed by Esther and Raynette, who have lived on Maui their whole lives and know the island well.
