The human API: Sam Forde speaks at Shopify Partners North

When a merchant says “your app broke my store”, what do they really mean, and can AI work that out? In his talk, The Human API: A Decade of Support in an AI-Powered Shopify Ecosystem, Sam draws on ten years in Shopify app support. He’ll explore the context, judgement and empathy that automation can’t deliver on its own.

He’ll share the stage with Keir Whitaker, Marketing Advisor for Shopify Partners and founder of Craft & Work. Keir was one of Shopify’s first 100 employees and the second hire on its early Partnerships team, where he spent seven years. He’ll talk about what he’s learned from 15 years in the Shopify Partner ecosystem, a career he says he fell into by accident.

Together, the two speakers bring over 25 years of Shopify experience. The meetup is hosted by Pimsical, Hookdeck and The Support Heroes, with free food and drinks on the night. There will be plenty of time to meet and connect with others in the Shopify community.

Doors open at 6pm at The Midnight Bell, 101 Water Lane, Holbeck, Leeds. Grab your free ticket at partnersnorthmeetup.uk.
